I believe that your photographs are a priority. They are memories set in light and color. My goal is to provide you with natural and beautiful pictures that will represent who you are at this time. This approach to photography will allow you more freedom and will produce a portrait that you can cherish.
I want you to enjoy your experience. As a mother myself, I understands that sometimes things don't go as planned. Babies might need to be fed, changed or cuddled and reassured during the session. Because of this, you will never be rushed through your experience. I invite you to bring a change of clothes or anything that will make your child feel more comfortable such as a blanket or stuffed animal. If it can be avoided, I suggest not allowing children to have pacifiers for a little while before the session so there is no markings on their faces.
During senior, small group, and matternity sittings, a few changes of clothes are perfectly acceptable. I want you to feel free to personalize your sessions in whatever way you would like.
During Maternity sittings I ask that you not wear anything with a snug waistband for at least an hour before your sitting so you can avoid unsightly markings. Pictures can be taken with belly covered or exposed according to your comfort level.
For newborn sittings, I prefer to shoot pictures within the first two weeks of their arrival. There is something so sweet about taking pictures at this age in their birthday suit, so unless you are opposed to this, I will take a few tasteful shots, I will also want to take pictures of your newborn in your favorite outfit for them.
After taking your pictures, please allow a few days for processing. I will look at each picture taken during your session and choose between 20 and 30 to show you. You will be contacted to set up an appointment to look at your proofs and place your order. After that, allow 7 - 10 days (for normal shipping) for your order to be brought to you. Rush processing and shipping are available for a fee. Please see the Investment page for more information.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have.
